75 years ago, vitalistic poet Hendrik Marsman lost his life, fleeing imposed rule and nascent gloom, trying to cling to life while there still was a chance. This clasping to life, wringing every single drop from it, making every passing moment a testament of existence, resonates strongly with us as a band.

This clasping to life, wringing every single drop from it, making every passing moment a testament of existence, resonates strongly with us as a band.
Proudly, we present the first ever published collection of translated
poems by Marsman. A Crooked Flower in Cosmos' Flailing Mouth holds 14
poems, most of them written in the 1920's, when Marsman was trying to
fight himself free from church and societal expectations.
These English translations have been done by the band themselves, and
have been checked by professional translator Bram van IJperen to
ensure both consistency and a full grasp of implied meaning.
This is what encompasses Terzij de Horde: a raging desire to live, a
longing for knowledge, a passion shared.
